Profession and Economy (Teaching degree)
The didactic subject “Profession and Economy” for teaching at secondary schools prepares you for the subject areas of economy, work, occupation and technology. You will learn to convey economic contexts and professional perspectives in a practical and interesting way.
What is the degree program about?
As a profile-building subject in secondary schools, the subject of profession and economy is of great importance in Bavaria. With the subject areas of economics, work, occupation and technology, it covers a broad range of topics and is significant, among other things, with regard to the development of students for their roles as citizens, consumers and gainfully employed persons.
As part of the study of careers and economics, students develop both a subject didactic and a subject scientific basis in order to be able to teach successfully later on. Of course, successful graduates also have the opportunity to gain further academic qualifications, for example in the context of a doctorate.
