What is the degree program about?
Modulstudien Naturale: Science and Sustainability (MSN) prepares first-year students for entry into the Bachelor’s degree programs at the Faculty of Sciences as well as the Bachelor’s degree programs at FAU related to sustainability. The program is particularly suitable as preparation for all courses with fundamental content from biology, chemistry, geosciences, mathematics and physics.
The program is suitable for applicants with a university entrance qualification, who are particularly interested in a scientific program or the interdisciplinary topic of sustainability but are not quite ready to decide on the program they want to study. In Modulstudien Naturale, you can deepen the knowledge you have acquired from school and learn fundamental and interdisciplinary skills that you will need to study successfully.
You also have the opportunity in the module program to take language courses for improving or acquiring language skills in preparation for a stay abroad or studying a Master’s program that is taught in English. Module program students are treated as enrolled students in the first university semester, but they are not counted as being in the first subject semester. They are not eligible for BAföG funding.
